Steps to register an identifier:

  1. Study the form below, and assemble the necessary information
  2. Go to the SMPTE Store (link opens in new window) and purchase an MPEG Identifier Registration
  3. Complete the form below, using the  order number from your SMPTE Store purchase in the final field
  4. Answer the "not-a-robot" question
  5. Submit the form
  6. SMPTE will review the applcation and contact you if the information is incomplete.  Otherwise you can epect to receive notice of your registration within a few business days.
